Dear Positive Solutions Charter School families,
We continue to actively monitor developments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) in conjunction with local and state public health officials, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
This week, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg issued a third public health emergency and prohibited gatherings of more than 50 people. Therefore, due to the rapidly evolving nature of this situation and out of an abundance of caution, Positive Solutions Charter School is joining other San Antonio area districts in extending our closure of campus classrooms through Friday, April 3, 2020. Positive Solutions Charter School hopes to re-open on April 6, 2020. As we receive more information from local and state health officials, decisions may need to be made to extend closure of campus classrooms beyond April 3, 2020.
In the meantime, we are working to implement remote instruction during this time. It is important that we provide a continuity of instruction to our students, and we are dedicated to making sure this happens. We will be in communication with you this week with more information.
We will continue to provide regular updates on our website, social media channels, and through our email messaging system.
During this unprecedented time, we want you to know that our students’ safety and well-being are our top priorities. We continue to be committed to educating your children. We will get through this by working together. Thank you for your patience and understanding and for your support.
Ruby Torres
Interim Superintendent
